In Haltom City, garden centers are busiest on spring weekends, when new stock arrives and popular plants sell out; weekday mornings are calmer and staff have more time to answer questions. Ask which plants are hardy for your USDA zone in Texas, whether trees and shrubs carry a replacement guarantee (one year is common), and whether the nursery delivers and plants large items. Fall is the best planting season for many trees and perennials, and end-of-season sales are common. Many nurseries close or shorten hours in winter, so check the listing for current hours and Google rating before you go.

Haltom City is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Haltom City is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I bought a tree from Grow Wild Greenery last year, partly because I loved that they give back to the community. The tree was gorgeous, but I noticed the grower's tag said it was a standard "Bubba" instead of the seedless "Sweet Bubba" I'd actually ordered. So I mentioned it, and honestly, Kimberly the owner could not have handled it better. She hunted down the right Sweet Bubba from another nursery out in East Texas and drove it all the way out to my house herself. I was dealing with a torn rotator cuff at the time, so yard work was pretty much out of the question. Planting isn't even something they normally do, but Kimberly went way above and beyond. She pulled out the first tree and helped me get the new one in the ground herself. You just don't see that kind of care and integrity much anymore. It's been exactly a year now, and that tree is thriving. It's grown a ton and it's absolutely covered in blooms right now. Kimberly earned my trust and my loyalty, and I'll definitely be back.

I found this place searching on Google maps and it looked like it was off the beaten path and very unique so I thought I would give it a try. This place is a hidden gem and literally right off of 377. I will admit I did drive by it and I had to stop and turn around and drive really slow but there it was in all its glory lol. When I walked into the nursery, there was a gentleman there and I told him that I was looking for plants in various places around my front and back door to help repel mosquitoes. He spent a lot of time asking me questions and then walking me around their entire nursery, showing me all the plants that would work. I am a chef and I love the idea of walking out in the garden and picking herbs to toss into whatever Iβm making that day so he helped me pick out rosemary, oregano, basil, and garlic plants. We also got a couple really pretty pink geranium plants; again another mosquito repelling plant. He put together a really beautiful pot for me and then we went on the search for the white pot that you can see in the pictures. Oh my gosh itβs beautiful. I love it so much! So not only did I find a really cool place to start shopping at year after year for my garde

This was the most low stress nursery I have ever been to! The owners were so kind and spent their time making sure the perfect plants were selected to survive the flowerbed I have. Their expertise and advice was much appreciated. For once I didnβt just walk in circles for hours reading tiny tags and trying to figure out if the plant I saw would fit my space. He even arranged them in a space similar to my bed so I could visually see what it would all look like planted. Awesome plant selection, excellent customer service, and adorable, irresistible puppy. I canβt wait to plan my next planting spot so I can come back.

We waited late into the planting season (November) in 2024 to purchase 48 plants and trees for the front of our house. I had not been all that pleased with the nurseries we had been visiting, so I got online and checked reviews. Grow Wild Greenery had such great reviews that we decided to check it out. If you arenβt paying attention (like us), you will drive right by it. Kimberly and Tim could not have been more helpful and knowledgeable. They know what will survive the Texas heat. Kimberly did a graphic design on her computer to help us envision what the yard would look like. She offered suggestions on which plants and trees could not only tolerate the Texas heat, but without much water, which was a major concern of ours. I am thrilled that everything we purchased is thriving 1-1/2 years later. Not only does Grow Wild Greenery sell healthy greenery, but you will find their prices very fair. This is a family-owned business. Do yourself and them a favor and support them. You will not be disappointed!

Great people! Met them at the Fort Worth Home & Garden show. I work for a local jeweler and people have been RAVING about my beautiful ivy. That ivy looked terrible until I used Grow Wild's fertilizer.... now they are GORGEOUS! I have sent sooo many of my plant lover clients to them!
